2020 Port Nicholson Regatta

5 – 8 March 2020

Entry is open to keelboats, trailer yachts, multihulls, sports boats, and sport multihulls for the 2020 Port Nicholson Regatta in Wellington.

Enter the Championship Series for the full regatta experience with racing scheduled over three days. Or perhaps the Harbour Series on Saturday for a classic yacht race or Sunday for Wellington’s cruising divisions to experience something different.

The Regatta opens in convivial style with the Charity Cup Invitation Race to support our community through sailing. A short pursuit race on Thursday evening followed by prizes and a relaxed buffet dinner with complementary wine.

Yachts in the Championship Series receive a Sponsors Gift Pack worth over $100. Visiting boats will also receive additional benefits, to ease the burden of travel, including MEVO credit (electric car share) if you need to get to Burnsco; priority booking for Chaffers Marina berths reserved for Port Nicholson Regatta; a case of Steinlager; and the opportunity to experience Port Nic’s famous ‘shed hospitality’ courtesy of local skippers, so you’ll have somewhere to call ‘home’, leave your gear, change your sea boots, and re-hydrate.

The Port Nicholson Regatta in Wellington, has been hosted by the Royal Port Nicholson Yacht Club since 1999 and attracts entries from around New Zealand and sailors from across the country and overseas.
